The Durability of Façades and Their Resilience in a Changing Climate
摘要
This research reviewed existing methodologies for evaluating the durability of façades concerning their climatic resilience. Twenty documents were retrieved from scientific databases. Most of the research relied on hygrothermal simulations to assess the long-term performance of whole façade systems, achievable through projected climate files that account for the expected rises in temperature and changes in driving rain and moisture loads. Typically, the studies retrieved with the proposed query string addressed countries from the Northern Hemisphere; hence, they usually referred to wooden-based assemblies with mold growth index as a durability parameter.
