Integrated Industrial Supply Chain with Intelligent Decision-Support Tools to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals

Post the pandemic, the hottest topic for research and debate is sustainability. The term sustainability is meant for commitment to maintain industrial performance to a certain level for a long-term duration. It is not only strategies for industrial performance to survive but also critically analyzed to get control over the uncertainty. It helps in protecting the environment and avoiding the chances of natural resource depletion caused by industrial processes. Further, the application of sustainable approaches assimilates value creation in processing and delivery to end-consumers. The present study explores the need for a sustainable supply chain and its contribution to achieving sustainable development goals. Further, the study identifies the attributes that must be considered while designing the supply chain, especially an integrated industrial supply chain that is equipped with intelligent decision-support tools.
