We conclude our forays into enzyme kinetic mechanisms by summarizing three practical aspects. Some examples of relating mechanisms with steady state kinetic data are detailed. Secondly, a general scheme that one should follow in orderly collection of kinetic data is given. This chapter (in Part III) is an attempt to bring home the point that enzyme kinetic study is not just “blue sky” research—but has real practical value.
