Cyst nematodes are well-known notorious parasites that feed on soybean plants. They are notable for their activity. Additionally, the soybean cyst nematode (SCN) plant disease continues to be responsible for a significant amount of grain loss in soybean yields, which accounts for 32% of all soybeans that are grown around the world. The cyst nematode of soybeans continues to be one of the most devastating pests, despite the fact that there are cutting-edge management options available, such as cultivars that are resistant to SCN and crop rotation. Despite the fact that direct soil sampling is still the most common method for detecting SCN, there are a number of problems associated with this method. However, the resistance of host plants has helped to a large amount in facilitating the control of these problems. This chapter discusses soybean nematode pests, SCN resistance mechanisms, damage, and recent and future promotional measures.
