Energy Efficient-Based Cluster Head Selection and Routing Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks Using Aquila Optimizer
摘要
The energy efficiency is examined the significant design problem in the Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), which can be overcome by utilizing the clustering and routing approaches. The problems can be examined as Non-deterministic Polynomial (NP)-hard optimization problem and resolved by utilizing the metaheuristic optimization algorithms to find the optimal or non-optimal solutions. In this research, the multi-objective-based Aquila Optimizer (AO) is proposed for obtaining the energy efficient Cluster Head (CH) selection and routing in WSN. The consumption of energy in WSN is achieved by the optimal routing method by utilizing the optimization algorithm. The optimization-based clustering and routing approach is developed for designing the optimal transmission path by CH to destination. The performance of proposed method achieves better results by utilizing the performance metrices of First Node Dead (FND) of 2067, Half Node Dead (HND) of 14,567 and Last Node Dead (LND) of 19,893 when compared to the existing methods like metaheuristics-based clustering by the routing protocol for Underwater WSN (MCR-UWSN), Cluster-based Routing (CBR) for Information Centric WSN (CBR-ICWSN) and Improved Metaheuristics-based Clustering with Multi-hop Routing protocol UWSN (IMCMR-UWSN).
