Development of Alkali Activated Mortar Using Alternate Alkali Activator
摘要
The paper presents the study of development of alkali activated mortar developed by using alternate alkali activator in order to obtain method of developing mortar reducing the dependency of the use of commercially available sodium silicate that contributes to the formation of gel contributing to the strength development of mortar. In this 12, 10 and 8 molarity of NaOH solution was used for the extraction of silicate from sugarcane bagasse ash. To compare the result few mixes were prepared using commercially available sodium silicate. This paper presents the study of ultrasonic pulse velocity, compressive strength, scanning electron microscope and Fourier transform infrared test with varying molarity and curing period. Having 8, 10 and 12 M of NaOH concentration with solution to binder ratio of 0.5 and 50% fly ash and 50% ground granulated blast furnance slag as the binder and Binder to fine aggregate ratio of 1:3.
