Cerebral Palsy, Fragile X Syndrome and Rett Syndrome
摘要
Cerebral palsy (CP), Fragile X syndrome (FXS), and Rett syndrome (RTT) are neurodevelopmental disorders requiring lifelong multidisciplinary care. Management focuses on maximizing independence through physiotherapy, occupational and speech therapy, assistive devices, and family support. Pharmacological treatments address symptoms like spasticity, seizures, pain, and constipation. Transition of care from pediatric to adult services should begin early to reduce complications. Prognosis depends on severity and developmental milestones. Prevention includes antenatal interventions such as magnesium sulfate and corticosteroids to reduce risks in preterm births. Complementary therapies are common but must be evidence-based and closely monitored for safety and effectiveness.Cerebral Palsy (CP), Fragile X Syndrome (FXS), and Rett Syndrome (RTT) are major neurodevelopmental disorders that require primary care physicians to have a thorough and informed approach.
