A 49-year-old female was diagnosed with “diabetic nephropathy” 10 years ago because of foamy urine and edema of both lower limbs. One year prior to admission, the patient was hospitalized again due to nausea, vomiting, and shortness of breath. After completing the relevant examinations, the patient was diagnosed with stage V diabetic nephropathy. During hospitalization, the right femoral vein was catheterized, and hemodialysis treatment was initiated, with a frequency of dialysis of thrice a week. At the same time, a left forearm artificial arteriovenous fistula was generated. The patient’s hemoglobin was 80 g/L.
