The “Belt and Road” initiative aims to build a bridge in economic, political, and cultural exchanges between different countries of the world. The numerous ideas and measures contained in “Belt and Road” provide specific ways and strategies for further developing theoretical researches on elderly education in China. These researches are based on the principles of friendly consultation, common development and mutual benefit. The spirit of “Silk Road”–peaceful cooperation, openness and inclusiveness, mutual learning, mutual benefit, and win–win results–are highly consistent with the opening to the outside world. With the ideal and available cooperation platform, we adopt a comprehensive approach to integrating research on elderly education at home and abroad. We have an open and cooperative environment for theoretical researches on elderly education which is equal, inclusive, and active. Through comprehensive cooperation, we can eventually attain the strategic goal of establishing an international community of elderly education.
