Nuclear Radiation Resistance of Minerals
摘要
The coexistence relationship between the geological environment and minerals, as well as the results of experimental research, all indicate that the radioactivity of minerals has a destructive effect on some minerals, but some minerals can maintain stable crystal structure under certain nuclear radiation and have good resistance to nuclear radiation, such as spinel MgAl 2O 4, uranothorite (U, Th)O 2, nepheline NaAlSiO 4, calcium titanium zircon CaTi 2ZrO 7, perovskite CaTiO 3, hollandite BaMn 8O 16, pollucite CsAlSi 2O 6, scheelite Ca-WO 4, apatite Ca 5(PO 4) 3OH and monazite (REPO 4, RE represents rare earth elements), and so on.
