摘要

In a optical-wireless communication system, the photoelectric signal is converted by a photodetector at the receiving end, and the noise in the detector directly affects the photoelectric-conversion efficiency. In this chapter, the photodetector noise-generation mechanisms are described, and the corresponding mathematical models are presented.
