Green Industrial Internet of Things: An Extensive Survey on Recycling Strategies for Greener Future of Industrial Operations
摘要
IIoT (Industrial-IoT) is a new vision of IoT (Internet of Things) that automates smart things in the industrial sector. It enables industries and businesses to run more efficiently and consistently due to its major focus on information processing, communication, transportation, and automated production. However, this extensive network of industrial equipment may also end up having a bad effect on the environment. It takes energy sources and basic supplies to produce such kind of industrial machines. The Green Industrial Internet of Things (GIIoT) emerged as a remedy to the prevalent environmental changes brought on by hazardous waste and a recognition of the severe effects of these changes. GIIoT is the mechanism of related networks, sensors, and devices that enable green industry practices, efficient choices, and more accurate production methods by collecting precise data. The GIIoT, which aims to reduce air pollution, energy waste, wasteful resource use, and pointless technology services, is having an increasing impact on a variety of aspects of life, including healthcare, agriculture, home services, industrial operations, transportation etc. In this paper, we perform an extensive survey of Green IIoT for sustainable development. The article covers the description of key terminologies and the Importance of GIIoT. Furthermore, proposals and ideas for enhancing uses are addressed. The most eccentric feature of our study is the ability to analyze current state-of-the-art models that serves as a bridge between current research gaps (challenges) and potential future research directions (solutions). The study reveals that a practical implementation of a sustainable green-IIoT ecosystem that might be widely adopted and implemented is still lacking since there are so many unresolved concerns that need to be addressed.
