Various factors are responsible for the deterioration of flexible pavements. The presence or accumulation of water on the pavement surface damages the pavement surface. Pavement deterioration process becomes more faster in presence of water. Water may enter in to the pavement from bottom, surface, side and median. This paper discusses the development distresses in the pavement due to the entry of water through median. In the present study, a six-lane main road was studied to evaluate the possible reasons for its failure and suitable remedies for its rehabilitation were provided.

摘要
