With a focus on India, this study investigates the little-explored topic of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and how it impacts the financial success of construction enterprises in developing countries. This mixed-methods study aims to identify trends in CSR disclosure and how they relate to corporate financial success. We examine secondary data spanning the top 100 construction businesses listed between 2015 and 2022, sourced from major Indian financial databases. Utilizing a multi-dimensional framework for CSR measurement, the technique comprises content analysis of CSR reports and pooled regression analysis to support the research assumptions. The research reveals five important CSR dimensions: environmental sustainability, healthcare & sanitation, education, social welfare, and rural development. Each of these elements significantly improves the financial success of a company. This study adds to the scant body of knowledge on the relationship between CSR and firm performance in developing nations, especially India, by taking a novel multi-dimensional method to measuring CSR and offering insights into the CSR activities that are most beneficial to financial improvement.

摘要
