Staging and Chronology of Archaeological Cultures in the Liaoxi Plain
摘要
Chapter Three focuses on the staging and chronology of archaeological cultures in the Liaoxi plain. It is proposed for the first time that the “Phase II of Ping’anpu remains” dates to the early Xia period and represents a precursor to the Gaotaishan culture. The cultural remains in this region are divided into three chronological stages: the early Xia period (“Phase II of Ping’anpu remains”), the mid-to-late Xia period to the early Shang period (early Gaotaishan culture), and the late Shang period (late Gaotaishan culture)
