The construction industry is facing a huge challenge in its efforts to become more environmentally friendly while also producing projects that are exceedingly difficult to accomplish in terms of both aesthetics and design. The future of the construction industry will be dependent on digital technologies, which will lead to sustainability. 3D printing is one such technology that has left its imprint on every discipline that is still under investigation. Concrete is added layer by layer using the additive manufacturing process known as 3D concrete printing in the construction industry. When compared to traditional techniques of building, fabrication in concrete printing allows for greater design freedom to create complex structures while also cutting execution costs by removing the use of formwork and enhancing production precision. The characteristics of concrete that would provide ideal performance in a 3D printer have been discussed in this paper. OPC 53 Grade Cement, Fly Ash, Clay, and Lime were used to create test mixes, and the properties of these mixtures in both their fresh and hardened states were examined. To improve workability, a high range water-reducing admixture (HRWRA) is employed. Since the concrete must pass through a printer nozzle, the aggregate size is restricted to a maximum of 2 mm. This study focuses primarily on fresh concrete properties, necessitating experimental research to assess pumpability, buildability, extrudability, and open time while also evaluating compressive strength in hardened concrete.

摘要
