S Band Circularly Polarised Rectangular Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Sub-6 GHz Frequency in Radar Applications

A circularly polarised rectangular DRA is proposed. The antenna, consisting of a rectangular DRA with a probe feed of Roman Three Shape, is introduced with higher order modes to cover S band frequency for sub-6 GHz frequency applications. A Rectangular DRA has return loss below 10 dB. The operating frequency within the range of (3–4.6) GHz covers S band. Radiation Pattern, Return Loss, and Gain are measured. The antenna is used in vehicle applications and Radar applications. It is discovered that the constructed antenna prototype performs admirably within the required constraints. Finally, the results are compared.
