The origin of Indian textiles dates back to Indus Valley Civilization. The vibrant tradition and culture are deeply embedded in the textile crafts. They are arduously handmade that render a beautiful texture, quality, story and embed memories as traditional artifacts are transferred from one to another generation. Cotton and silk are primarily used for textile crafts apart from jute and wool owing to the climatic conditions. The rich flora and fauna as well as mythological themes are intricately represented by the artisans with skilled handicraft work.
