A Study on Silicon-Doped Graphene Oxide: Wet Chemistry Synthesis and Characterization of a Novel Nanomaterial

Novel nanomaterials encompass a category of substances exhibiting distinctive properties and structures at the nanoscale. These materials are deliberately designed to manifest specific functionalities and traits that deviate notably from their larger-scale counterparts. Among them, silicon-doped graphene oxide (Si-GO) stands out as a promising material, displaying comparable or even superior potential to graphene oxide, suggesting a broad spectrum of applications. This study focuses on the synthesis of silicon-doped graphene oxide and employs various characterization techniques to explore its properties, facilitating a comparative analysis with graphene oxide.
