Huge working loads and the non-availability of competent ground at shallow depths have necessitated deep foundation construction across the globe. Installation methods of drilled shafts and driven piles give rise to concern among engineers regarding the capacity and structural integrity of pile foundations. The final foundation product lies buried beneath the ground, for which physical inspection is impossible. It is imperative to perform quality checks to confirm the pile’s health before loading the foundation. Field static load tests can give information on pile capacity, but the method in itself involves a comprehensive procedure and is cumbersome. In a developing country like India, mega infrastructure projects consist of a huge number of pile foundations. Static load test on a few piles on a sample basis and correlation with high strain dynamic test would abbreviate the project time. This study presents a case study from north India with both static load test and high-strain dynamic load test results. Various graphical and analytical approaches have been incorporated to determine the ultimate load from static load test data. Dynamic load test data is analyzed using the signal matching technique to arrive at the ultimate load and equivalent load–displacement curve. Further, results from static and dynamic approaches are relatively compared to arrive at a correlation for sites in north India.
