A solitary fibrous tumor of the orbit is a spindle cell tumor. It is a well-defined mass in the orbit and can be present in the intraconal or extraconal compartment. The differential diagnosis of solitary fibrous tumors includes schwannoma, meningioma, fibrous histiocytoma, or cavernous hemangioma. Diagnosis can be confirmed by immunohistochemistry. The solitary fibrous tumor shows a strong immunoreactivity for CD34 and CD99 [1]. Meticulous surgery and complete excision may prevent recurrence.
