Rhabdomyosarcoma of the Orbit
摘要
Orbital rhabdomyosarcoma is the most common malignant orbital tumor in childhood. It originates from mesenchymal cells. Although it is commonly seen in children younger than 8 years of age, it is not uncommon in adults. The child presents with unilateral proptosis of acute onset. It is a rapidly progressive tumor that masquerades as an infectious disease of the orbit. Imaging is useful and helps in reaching a diagnosis [1].
