Impact of Robotics Artificial Intelligence and Automation (RAIA) in Upskilling and Employment

The current digital era is marked by the rapid evolution of technology. Automation, in particular, is growing at an astonishing pace, necessitating knowledge and expertise in various fields, including robotics and artificial intelligence. In fact, a staggering 73% of organizations worldwide have plans to implement Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Automation (RAIA) to enhance productivity. To keep up with this ever-changing landscape, the adoption of continuous learning is vital. This approach not only promotes business growth but also ensures the sustainability of an organization’s workforce. The focus of this conceptual paper is to examine the profound impact of RAIA on the upskilling of individuals for employment. Furthermore, this research endeavor seeks to investigate the consequences of advancements in RAIA on net employment levels. It does so by considering perspectives at the organizational, global, national, and individual levels. To achieve this, the study aims to construct a systematic conceptual framework that addresses the core principles of individual upskilling and employability. By doing so, it aims to shed light on the multifaceted influence of RAIA on the workforce and employment dynamics.
