The Dadu River is located in China’s Sichuan Province, in Southwest China. Situated in the highly mountainous midwestern region of Sichuan, the river is rich in hydropower resources and is one of the thirteen large bases for hydropower in China, as well as an important part of the flood control system for the Changjiang (Yangtze) River. Not only are the mountains and scenery of the Dadu River beautiful, but the river also has a long human history and was already well known in Chinese antiquity.
