The design of the components of helium-cooled reactors needs a detailed knowledge on helium technology, especially at high temperatures. These experiences are necessary for the layout of reactor components, heat exchangers, hot gas ducts, helium circulators and helium auxiliary systems. Some examples of these systems are the helium purification, storage and sealing systems and many small components, which are influenced by the application of helium as coolant.
