The growth of technology and digital tools in the educational process results in improved student access, engagement, and outcomes. Aftermath COVID-19, the majority of educational institutions began to use online teaching mechanisms in addition to traditional teacher-centered teaching processes. Thus, the abrupt shift from fully online to a combination of online and offline-based educational instruction has produced a schism in student motivation and understanding of the course. Thus, improving students’ overall experience is the primary goal of educational institutions and contemporary research today. The objective of this paper is to examine the factors that most influence students’ overall experience toward this shift of online and offline-based education and enhance their retention, engagement, understanding, and motivation toward the current educational experience. A structured questionnaire was sent to higher education students, and 702 valid responses were received. The frequency analysis approach is utilized in this study for extracting the terms with the highest frequency. It will aid in the proposal of a solution to the responses through the use of natural language processing (NLP). The response was validated by NLP tokenization and the findings show that several factors influence students’ overall experience and motivation toward the current educational forum, such as teaching quality, classroom environment, curriculum relevance, extracurricular activities, overall interaction, and so on. It is also intended to offer additional insight into the areas that require more emphasis and attention while designing and teaching.
