The patient, a 34-year-old woman, was admitted to the emergency room in shock from significant bleeding post-vaginal delivery. A transabdominal ultrasound revealed no signs of placental remnants or intrauterine retroversion. She was stabilized through a massive blood transfusion and intra-aortic balloon occlusion (IABO) in the emergency room. However, once the intra-aortic balloon was deflated, severe uterine bleeding resumed. The treatment options considered included intrauterine balloon insertion, UAE, or an emergency laparotomy. In deciding the best course of action, there’s a need to consider which imaging examinations to conduct and how to evaluate them accurately.

摘要
