To understand postoperative complications following gynecological surgery is essential for early detection and selection of appropriate treatment strategies. Common complications include postoperative infection, urinary tract injury, bowel injury, intestinal obstruction, venous thromboembolisms, and hematomas or bleeding. CT plays a critical role in the diagnosis and assessment of the extent of these complications. Selections of the appropriate CT imaging method based on the clinical context and its precise interpretation are crucial, as improper imaging methods and diagnosis can hinder accurate diagnosis and delay necessary interventions. Using case studies, this chapter explain the key points in imaging diagnosis and potential pitfalls associated with each complication.
