Cervical Squamous Neoplasia
摘要
Cervical squamous neoplasm is the most common lesion of the cervix and is caused by human papillomavirus infection at the squamocolumnar junction. In this chapter, we describe the histologic features of low- and high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions, superficially invasive (microinvasive) squamous cell carcinoma, and various subtypes of invasive squamous cell carcinomas. Diagnostic mimics and differential diagnosis are discussed for each section followed by management algorithms. Immunohistochemical markers useful for cervical squamous neoplasms are also described. The goal of the chapter is to provide readers as a reference for concise review, images, and a better understanding of cervical squamous neoplasms when encountered in a routine pathology practice.
