Gysel Power Divider Miniaturization Using an Inter-Digital Capacitor-Based Slow-Wave Structure
摘要
A slow-wave structure based on a pair of an interdigital capacitor and a stepped meander line is demonstrated. The proposed structure provides not only a high slow-wave factor (SWF) but also a sharp transmission zero near passband. SWF of the structure is investigated and compared with the traditional line. SWF of the proposed structure is increased by a minimum of 177% compared to the reference line within the pass band. In comparison to the reference GPD, the physical size of the proposed GPD only took up 23% (0.23 λg × 0.12 λg, λg is the guided wavelength) of the circuit area. Additionally, the proposed design has good in-band response at the intended frequency and 2nd order harmonic suppression.
