Comparative Analysis of TODIM and TOPSIS for an Automobile Parts Supplier
摘要
Supplier selection has become an essential step for any firm during the last few decades. Nowadays, an organization’s primary purpose is not just to maximize profits and provide goods at a minimal cost. In this study, a supplier selection process for a north Indian company that manufactures automotive parts was carried out using the TODIM and the TOPSIS method for multi-objective optimization based on eight primary factors and twenty-three sub-criteria. All the main criteria and sub-criteria were considered after the literature review and pilot study through the questionnaire. The Entropy weight method is used to compute the weight of each criterion and sub-criteria. The results established ranking for the TOPSIS and the TODIM as S5 > S1 > S4 > S3 > S2, S4 > S3 > S1 > S5 > S2, respectively and Cost/Price as dominating impact on the ranking results comparison to Customer service as least impact on the ranking results.
