The chapter mainly introduces the main technologies involved in the space high-power solar power generation system. Space solar power generation technology is one of the main factors affecting the overall efficiency, volume, and weight of the entire SPS and is the decisive factor for the cross-sectional area of the SPS. Solar PV cell is the most widely used power generation method in space applications. The development of space solar PV cells has mainly gone through the stages of silicon solar cells, gallium arsenide (GaAs) solar cells, and thin-film solar cells. The most widely used currently is the triple-junction GaAs solar cell and the conversion efficiency on-orbit has exceeded 30%. With the demand for high-power generation by large spacecraft, thin-film solar cells have become an important development direction. For the application needs of ultra-high-power spacecraft, in order to meet the requirements of high-power, high-power-to-weight ratio, and high stowage-to-deployment ratio for ultra-large solar arrays, the development of flexible solar arrays using flexible substrates, adhere rigid or thin-film solar cells and flexible circuits is the future development trend of ultra-high-power spacecraft. For such a high-power spacecraft, how to transmit the power generated by the solar array to the microwave transmitting antenna has become the most important priority in the design of an SPS.

摘要
