Waste Management
摘要
Waste management in cement and concrete production involves the responsible handling and disposal of waste materials generated during manufacturing processes. These waste materials can include by-products such as fly ash, slag, and silica fume, as well as industrial wastes like foundry sand, demolition debris, and construction waste. Mechanisms for waste management in this context primarily revolve around recycling and reuse, where these materials are incorporated into cement and concrete mixtures to replace traditional raw materials. This not only reduces the environmental impact of waste disposal but also contributes to resource conservation and sustainable development. Innovative techniques such as waste-derived binders and supplementary cementitious materials are continually being developed to enhance the utilization of waste materials in cement and concrete production (Scrivener et al. 2018).
