Alkali-Activated Mortars
摘要
Alkali-activated mortars (AAMs) represent a progressive category in the realm of sustainable building materials, increasingly recognized for their role in the construction industry as a high-performance alternative to conventional cement-based mortars. Formulated primarily from industrial byproducts such as fly ash, slag, or metakaolin, these materials are activated through the addition of alkaline solutions, typically sodium or potassium silicates. AAMs not only contribute to environmental sustainability by utilizing waste products and reducing CO 2 emissions associated with traditional cement but also offer enhanced durability and resistance to various forms of environmental degradation, making them particularly suitable for use under severe environmental conditions.
