Normal-Strength Concrete
摘要
Normal-strength concrete (NSC), typically classified by its compressive strength ranging from 20 to 40 megapascals, is the most commonly used type of concrete for general construction purposes. This concrete is made from a mixture of Portland cement, water, and aggregates (sand and gravel or crushed stone) and is designed to meet the standard structural requirements without the specialized additives or treatments found in high-strength or ultra-high-performance concretes (UHPC). While highly effective for everyday construction, the performance of normal-strength concrete under severe environmental conditions requires careful consideration.
