Agro-Cement
摘要
Agro-cement refers to cementitious materials that incorporate agricultural by-products, such as rice husk ash, sugarcane bagasse ash, and other bio-based residues, to create more sustainable and environmentally friendly concrete products. This integration helps in addressing the dual challenges of waste management in agriculture and high carbon emissions from traditional cement production. By substituting a significant portion of Portland cement with agro-based materials, agro-cement contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and promotes the recycling of agricultural waste. The utility of agro-cement in the construction industry is increasingly recognized due to its potential to enhance the mechanical properties and durability of concrete while conserving natural resources and reducing the environmental footprint of building materials.
