The aim of this chapter is to briefly introduce the imaging diagnosis of hepatic infectious diseases, especially bacterial liver abscess which is more common in China, hepatic brucellosis, and hepatic tuberculosis which showed no specificity in clinical and difficult to diagnosis. In this chapter, many aspects about those hepatic infectious diseases were described, including the common etiologic agents, clinical symptoms, pathologic characteristics, imaging findings, diagnosis, and differential diagnosis methods. The key role of imaging in the diagnosis of these diseases is emphasized. Imaging modalities include X-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). With the advance of CT, MRI, and other imaging equipment and the increase of liver biopsies and hepatectomies, the number of confirmed cases has gradually increased. Diagnostic accuracy is improved by combining imaging features with clinical manifestations to help physicians make accurate diagnosis and proper management.

摘要
