A lipoma is a benign tumor made up of mature adipose tissue. They can be seen anywhere where there is fat, at any age. Liver lipoma is a relatively rare form of mesenchymal tumor of the liver caused by adipose tissue; however, it is a benign disease. In most cases, this disease has no clinical symptoms and no laboratory abnormalities. Typically, liver lipomas are a single lesion, while a few may include multiple lesions. The diameter of tumor bodies varies from a few millimeters to over 10 centimeters. There is a clearer line of separation between the lipoma and the surrounding liver parenchyma, and the growth of the lipoma is slower. On conventional ultrasound images, homogeneous strong echogenic masses are visible. The CT scan images show a single homogeneous fat low-density mass in the liver without enhancement. According to the MRI images, both T1WI and T2WI had high signal intensities, whereas the liposuppression sequence had a low signal intensity, and the enhanced scan showed no enhancement. Due to the rare occurrence of liver lipomas, particularly when they are large, it is crucial to conduct a thorough diagnostic evaluation to distinguish them from cancerous growths.
