Magnetic resonance imaging is an important imaging examination method for liver and gallbladder. The common pulse sequences in hepatobiliary MRI include spin echo (SE) sequence, fast spin echo (FSE) sequence, inversion recovery (IR) sequence, gradient echo (GRE) sequence, and echo planar imaging (EPI) sequence. The special imaging techniques of hepatobiliary MRI is composed of in-phase/out-of-phase imaging, fat suppression, diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), magnetic resonance spectroscopy, magnetic resonance perfusion imaging, magnetic resonance angiography (MRA), Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP), and magnetic resonance elastography (MRE). Hepatobiliary MRI enhanced scan is also an essential diagnostic tool for liver and gallbladder imaging. In this chapter, we mainly introduce the technical points of abovementioned MRI examinations for the depiction of the hepatobiliary diseases.

摘要
