The purpose of this chapter is to provide a brief overview of the imaging diagnosis of infectious diseases of the liver parasites, mainly the more common Plasmodium falciparum of the liver, Hepatic echinococcusis, Clonorchiasis, Clonorchis sinensis, and Amebic liver abscess, which have certain characteristics. This chapter provides a multifaceted description of these liver parasitic infections, including types of parasites and their epidemiology, clinical symptoms, pathologic characteristics, imaging findings, and diagnostic methods. The chapter emphasizes the importance of accurate diagnosis for treatment and provides key points for differential diagnosis. The clinical and imaging features of different types of liver parasitic infections are further illustrated through case presentations. Imaging modalities include ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). With the development of CT, MRI, and other imaging modalities, as well as the increase in liver biopsies and hepatectomies, the number of confirmed cases has increased dramatically. Combining imaging features with clinical manifestations, diagnostic accuracy can be improved and to help physicians to make an accurate diagnosis and suitable management.

摘要
