This chapter aims to prove that Luhmann’s Social Systems have been cross-fertilizing each other for a long-winded/long-haul span of time. Against this background, Luhmann’s Social Systems are in dire need of being deemed mobile, ductile and flexible as opposed to monolithic, unbending, self-referred and static. A fine-grained and in-depth historical account – undertaken at the first tier of the Four-Tiered Model of Mediation, which is the Social Dynamics of Mediation - gives credence to the foregoing axiom/claim while quashing Luhmann’s warped/botched central contention.
