This chapter deals with Smith numbers named by Albert Wilansky from his brother-in-law Harold Smith’s telephone number (4937775). Along with the construction and distribution of Smith numbers, highly decomposable Smith numbers, consecutive Smith numbers, and special Smith numbers such as Repdigit, Fibonacci, sphenic, etc. are discussed in this chapter. The new application of digital roots for speeding up Smith number computations has been discussed in detail. Hoax numbers and Ruth-Aaron numbers are also covered.
