Macao, a former Portugal colony turned a Special Administrative Region of People’s Republic of China, has become the most established casino city in the world in the last two decades. Like any other developed economies, Macao is facing an ageing population. This chapter examines three policy areas, namely social welfare, medical and health, and housing policies, which are closely related to the well-being of Macao older adults. The issues, problems and services provided in these three policy areas will be discussed. It is found that Macao has a comprehensive policy in supporting the senior citizens. Though Macao is late in developing secondary and tertiary medical services, it has a well-established primary healthcare network. The infrastructure in medical and healthcare has been strengthened and expanded recently. Macao has offered one more housing option for the senior citizens lately. With the support of the Government of Mainland China, a new area nearby has been allocated for the development of Macao in general and for housing in particular.
