This chapter’s goal is to talk about Indonesia’s population ageing trends, problems, and future directions. This needs comprehending how this change has affected public health, the economy, and social policies, with a focus on how the country must develop long-term solutions to address the demands of the ageing population. The social, economic, technological, and cultural factors are discussed in this chapter to address the problems with older adults’ social integration, financial security, and health care. Additionally, it examines the policies and opportunities for active ageing and community-based programs, as well as ways to improve the standard of living for Indonesia’s senior citizens.
