Revising Public Health, When Integral Medicine Steps In
摘要
Traditional Chinese medicine (CM), with enhancing significance especially when currently renovated, is now increasingly recognised. The expansion of CM into the concepts of healthy living is well in line with the contemporary disease prevention measures. Because of the lack of basic knowledge for mutual understanding, the integral approach over essentialities of CM is elaborated here to bridge the gaps in practice useful to Western medicine (WM). Healthcare through restoring the integral person with positive attributes could be effective and more cost-efficient when coupled with contemporary health plans. Mechanisms, including body state’s energy, memory consolidation and a stabilisation mode worth remodelling on, would build up reserves to optimise the body itself in snug, supporting the body core with strength and capacity to meet situations and even stresses with less disturbance and disruptiveness. Body disorganisation with chronicity is related to breaking up of the individual’s integrality as too much demands create gaps for being both fit and snug inside the person, in which case the individual energy and resources for overcoming problems are drained away as becoming insufficient whereupon chronic problems manifest as a multicomplex. Understanding integrality through body form and disposition, and the body state also called CM constitution, would restore health for being fit to surroundings and snug in the core.
