Plastic, the world’s remarkable and tremendous waste component is available globally in bulk and lacks proper waste management techniques. Covid-19 has made the matter worse. Ban on single use plastic at workplaces/public places has been rescinded. One of the major products of single use plastics are water bottles made up of PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate). The waste footprint generated by them has increased tremendously. The widely and globally installed paver blocks are usually made up of the concrete mix. This work is intended to utilize PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) for preparation of binder which is preliminary material to be used in replacement of the concrete from the mix. The controlled technique of converting the waste PET in the binder without creating any environmental pollution is of major concern and is focused. The present work comprises of two different stages viz., Stage 1: conceptualizing plastic melting machine for eco-friendly and efficient conversion of waste into binder; Stage 2: Designing Mix, casting and evaluating its Engineering properties to suggest most suitable ration of the ingredients for paver blocks. A total of 34 samples are casted and the variation in the engineering properties of the hardened casted block is studied. It is also evident from the experimental results that the compressive strength of the block is majorly affected by the design mix, curing temperature and the duration of curing.
