In recent years, nonconventional luminogens containing only hydroxyl, carbonyl, and amino units have attracted the interest of many researchers because of their unique photophysical properties such as strong excitation-dependent emission and persistent room temperature phosphorescent (p-RTP) and excellent biocompatibility and broad application prospects in the field of biological imaging. Many of these systems have been reported. This entry will focus on the research and development of these organic polymers and small molecular compounds containing hydroxyl, carbonyl, and amino groups and the evolution of the understanding of emission mechanism and try to summarize the emission law and development trend of nonconventional luminogens containing hydroxyl, carbonyl, and amino units.

摘要
