Mechanofluorochromic AIEgens and Their Applications
摘要
Mechanofluorochromic (MFC) materials are a class of materials that can undergo fluorescence (color or intensity) change in response to mechanical stimuli. Those featuring aggregation-induced emission (AIE) characteristics have the advantages of enhanced fluorescence in the solid state. MFC behavior is mainly related to the molecular conformation change, molecule stacking mode change, and intermolecular interaction change under mechanical force. This entry mainly reviews the recent progress of MFC AIE luminogens (AIEgens), involving the mechanism of MFC process and examples of MFC AIEgens. And finally, the applications of MFC AIEgens will be briefly introduced. We hope that this entry can make it easy for researchers especially in other fields to understand this type of materials, providing research inspiration for a wide range of scientists and attracting more researchers to devote themselves to this exciting research area.
