IoT-Based Thermal Model to Predict Operating Temperature of PV Module
摘要
Ambience condition plays a significance role in determining the operating temperature of the PV module installed in outdoor. In this paper, an IoT-based forecast model is proposed that can predict the operating temperature of the photovoltaic module using Faiman’s formula. To forecast the working temperature of the solar PV module, the proposed thermal model will require few inputs such as Environmental temperature where the PV module is installed, wind speed blowing at that particular location and the amount of solar irradiance falling on the glass layer of the module. The proposed design consists of NodeMCU ESP8266 based IoT board, DHT 11 sensor that measure environment temperature, anemometer to measure wind speed and pyranometer to measure Solar radiation falling on that particular location and 16*2 LCD to display the forecast temperature of the PV module. Based on these sensor inputs from weather station, the model will calculate the Module temperature using Faiman’s equation.
