Urban health encompasses not only individual personal hygiene but also the profound impact of urban infrastructure (building sectors, transit systems, urban landscape) in urban areas. Therefore, both public health and environmental health play crucial roles in enhancing overall urban well-being. After COVID hit in 2019, attention has been focused on the improvement of clean healthy urban surroundings in particular to strengthen individual health. Various possible practical ideologies encourage the most healthy public behavior and their activity in urban landscapes further contributes to enhanced urban health. The multifaceted solutions fall under individual, communal/societal, and political concerns collectively pay the way for a comprehensive understanding of physical and psychological determinants of health. The paper aims at a theoretical review that analyzes the changes, and challenges and describes diverse approaches to stimulate discussion on growing environmental health concerns and urban planning. By identifying immediate, urgent, short-term, and long-term planning processes, this research promotes enhanced mental and physical health for urban dwellers in townships and those in slum areas. This paper strategically highlights many concepts underpinning the adoption of solutions in today’s context of sustainable solutions exclusively post-COVID-19, leveraging technological advancements.
